Fantasy pictorials

The Fantasy Pictorial process goes from the initial dream of how you would like to become accustomed to being thought of ... thru a professional photo shoot ... to an enhanced photo-realistic work of art suitable for inheritance.

The fantasy pictorials are commissioned portraits where Efrain works closely with the patron to determine their fantasy. He then arranges for a professional photographic production including stylists, suitable background and props (Harley or horses, anyone?) and anything else that adds to the experience. Efrain coordinates the ambiance, the posing, the fun ... and then lights, camera, action as he works closely with the “model” taking a series of pictures. The best of the lot are merged, enhancement happens, magic is done, and, lo ... an amazing realistic work of art that is how you want to be remembered, a true legacy, is celebrated.

First you start thinking about how you would like to be seen.  M wanted to be a luscious, sensual seductress seen only by her husband.  D wanted to be a professional business woman at the top of her game, ... and V wanted to be cooking in the kitchen with her daughter.  M’s children will be doing what they do ... one is a cook, one a dancer.  C wanted us to take off a few years so her boyfriend could see what she looked like when things were even better.  JJ wants to capture the spirit of the house they so lovingly designed.  And K, who used to be a model, is older and wants to go nude, just less so.

Discuss with us what it is you want and when.  Efrain will help guide you to the proper medium ... pastel, pencil, oil ... and locations can be suggested.  Then a date can be reserved. 

You can come to San Miguel and combine the photo shoot with a vacation in a top destination.  It's called the Florence of North America for a reason.  And I call Efrain Leonardo di Vinci for a reason.

Feeling more adventuresome??  If you have always fancied Indiana Jones and the Yucatan pyramids ... let’s go.  (Or fake it with the Cañada de la Virgin pyramids a few miles out of SMA)

We work with excellent photographers.  For example, Jim Quinn was the lead photographer for the Chicago Tribune for over 26 years.   The shoot takes about 2 to 4 hours ... yet could vary a lot depending on what we are doing and where and why.

The CD of the photos is ready in about 2 days.   There is a single copy for you and a single copy for our private collection.  We sign a privacy agreement assuring you we won’t release your photographs over the internet or publish them in books without your permission.

Then there is the selection process.  Is one picture a stand alone quality?  Is it a composite, profile from here, back from there, and make my butt better?

The work itself is enhanced and depending on the medium and your time you might just carry it home with you to have it framed at your leisure when you return.

Our patron above wanted to be seen as a sensual seductress ... a gift for her husband.  After the commission was finished in colored pastel, Efrain decided to do one in pencil, this one, for his private collection.  However, when the patron came to pick up the work, they fell in love with this one and took both, one for each house. 


When finally, properly matted and framed this was a stunning picture ... and my personal favorite. 


Privacy agreements prevent us from showing you the original photo from which this was taken.  It is a show stopper, until you see the interpretation ... then you can't take your eyes off of it.     

Framing, too, can be discussed.  Framing in Mexico takes time ... and the lower cost is offset by the shipping expense.  Yet should it suit your fancy, you can have us design some amazing things and meet the artists involved.
